With global fashion weeks coming to a close, the trends for spring-summer 2019 have erupted with a bang. As always, the runways were the place to turn to when it came to singling out trends.
While many familiar designers and themes were a sheer delight to witness. Consequently, it was the rebirth of certain signature styles that paved way to winning the hearts of millennial-savvy audience members -seated in the front row.
So let’s take a closer look at your cheat sheet version for this season’s hottest fashion en vogue.
IT’S A BLACK AFFAIR BY ALL MEANS
First and foremost, the glamour and enticing appeal that comes alongside black blazers is a welcoming treat this spring-summer 2019. In addition, the well-tailored and timeless look is sure to be a popular wardrobe staple for more reasons than one. As well as pair the look with combat trousers as was keenly observed by French fashion powerhouse Givenchy.
SUMMER ROMANCE CALLINGS
Likewise, if a summertime vacation isn’t in the cards this season, well, you can always substitute with a fashion trend that’s reminiscent of pure summer bliss. Therefore, that’s exactly what renowned French designer Olivier Rousteing of Balmain incorporated into his spring-summer collection. The stunning use of hieroglyphics to vibrant pieces in floral facades and abstract geometric designs too. So, there’s nothing more you need to embrace this fabulous time of year.
Netting going strong
Furthermore, it’s the return of netted glory, and the fashion world isn’t complaining one bit. Netting was singled out in more ways than one by designers for this spring-summer 2019. From leggings and dresses to a distinct array of tops -I expect the finest fishnet treatment to greet this season. Besides, did I mention the accolade received by Dior for their alluring display of netting on the runways? A big fashion YES if you ask me!
The golden era
Hello yellow is the color en vogue this season with top French fashion labels like Jacquemus, Givenchy, and Balenciaga. Including, displaying luscious luxury “prêt à porter,” French for ‘ready wear,’ and couture collections – that revolved around the color scheme. Think along the lines of vibrant lemony hues and rich marigold tones. Further, designers worked their magic into tailor-fitted blazers, off-shoulder numbers, and other fashion staples.
Fabulous feather
Well, if you’ve ever dreamt of having wings, the fashion world has answered your prayers, or they’re at least trying to. Then, it’s the season to soar with designers adding feather detailing to statement pieces – such as jackets, gowns, tops, and whatnot. The perfect example being French brand Loewe’s collection where jackets, and vests were embellished with matching feather detailing.
Neutral-minded statements
Likewise, it’s the rise of earthy tones, sublimely incorporated into both formal, and casual street-style looks for the season. Over and above neutral hues ranging from cream and sand to khaki and tan were showcased repeatedly by designers around all the fashion capitals of the globe. Along with, French label Dior exhibited plenty of stellar pieces such as trench coats, and long skirts in magnificent pastel tones. Redefining high-end street style and couture like no other.
